Innovative teaching

The Université de Lyon is committed to the success of its students and their professional integration. To address these challenges, the Université de Lyon has implemented a procedure to support its students and to review higher education teaching methods.

The “Innovative teaching” initiative, implemented by the Université de Lyon, covers three priority areas:

• Networking the existing local teaching support units at the Lyon Saint-Étienne site;
• Establishing a community of inter-institutional practices based on innovative teaching methods, considering the professional development of professors and educational engineers;
• Supporting and promoting experimentation, in order to develop innovative teaching practices which encourage student learning.

In order to implement this coordinated approach for supporting teaching innovation, the Université de Lyon relies on two schemes:

• The Center for Professional Development and Teaching Innovation (Centre de développement professionnel et d’innovation pédagogique - CDproIP);
• The Academic Inter-College Group.

These two schemes work closely together.
