About Innovation & Entrepreneurship
The Université de Lyon provides several programs that aim to help strengthen entrepreneurship and innovation in Lyon and Saint-Étienne:
- The PEPITE Beelys, (Student Center for Innovation, Transfer and Entrepreneurship), to support students in projects setting up or taking over companies;
- The Innovation Factory, to use the university's talents in the creation of startups and local companies;
- The SATT PULSALYS (Technology Transfer Acceleration Office), to develop research findings at the Université de Lyon and to promote their transfer to socio-economic sectors.
- Doctor'Entreprise, a practical scheme, run by the Université de Lyon and the MEDEF Lyon-Rhône, that brings together companies, research laboratories and PhD students.
- The Innovation Academy, a "learning-by-doing" training program for PhD students to develop innovative projects.

- 25,000 students have been trained and educated by Beelys
- 300 students and young graduates have been supported and trained by the D2E diploma
- 2 Innovation Pre-Factories
- 449 discovered inventions, 105 of which were projects funded by PULSALYS
- 118 patents filed by PULSALYS
