[ACADEMIC EVENT] 13th Science Week for the Manutech-SLEIGHT Graduate School

The 13th Science Week - SLEIGHT Science Event #13 - organized by the Manutech-SLEIGHT Graduate School, will take place from January 9-14, 2025 at Université Jean Monnet’s Manufacture Campus.

This new “SLEIGHT in 2025” winter edition is dedicated to all topics covered by the Graduate School.
 

A four-day program

  • Presentations by four internationally renowned guest speakers on various Manutech-SLEIGHT topics:
    Hugues Berry, Research Director, Inria Lyon (French Research Institute for Digital Sciences), Project-Team AlstroSight
    David Grojo, Research Director, CNRS (French National Center for Scientific Research), Aix-Marseille University
    Maxime Moreaud, Research Engineer, IFPEN (French Institute of Petroleum New Energies)
    Christelle Der Loughian, Assistant professor, INSA Lyon
     
  • Two “pitch” sessions giving Master’s students the chance to give brief presentations on a research project or internship
     
  • One “poster” session on all Manutech-SLEIGHT topics, open to the whole community. This session will be organized by the Manutech-SLEIGHT Student Chapters (OPTICA & SPIE), led by the ASESLEIGHT Student Association. The event will feature a fun, scientific activity for all Manutech-SLEIGHT graduate students
     
  • Three scientific workshops with two speakers presenting the progress of their research financed or co-financed by the Graduate School. Two speakers from outside the consortium have also been invited: Nikzad Motamedi from IMT Nord Europe (Lille-Douai) and Mahmoud Elsawy from the INRIA Research Center Côte d'Azur (Valbonne).


This week of scientific excellence, networking, interactions and new discoveries will conclude with an awards ceremony for the best presentations (from the “pitch” and “poster “sessions) on January 14, 2025 at noon.
