This "Surface Science and Engineering" conference is a unique opportunity for academic and industrial researchers in the field of surfaces and interfaces to exchange ideas on major societal issues, drawing on the most advanced knowledge and know-how in terms of synthesis, functionalization, characterization and expertise in usage properties.

LabEx Manutech-Sise

For the last thirteen years, the main aim of the LabEx (Laboratoire d'Excellence)Manutech-SISE has been to establish the Lyon Saint-Étienne site as an international benchmark for surface science and engineering. Its scientific aims are to understand and gain expert knowledge in surface phenomena such as erosion, friction, chemical reactivity, wettability, optical properties and visual and tactile rendering. Its technological aims are to create surface functionalities, particularly in tribology and optics, and to develop advanced methods for manufacturing surfaces, such as ultrashort laser machining, thin film, additive manufacturing and assembling.
