On January 14, 2025, the jury appointed by the French Ministry of Higher Education and Research, as part of the fifth “Data Management Cluster” AMI, awarded the DATALystE project a €75,000 grant.

With this accreditation, DATALystE has become one of 22 data management clusters within the Recherche Data Gouv ecosystem.
As such, it advocates for the FAIR use of data for open science.

What does the DATALystE project involve?

The aim of the DATALystE project is to support researchers, PhD students and support staff in managing their research data. To achieve this, it offers a range of services available to the entire scientific community on the Lyon Saint-Étienne site.

It pools the skills of partner site stakeholders to provide resources, training and support covering the entire data journey, from the planning stage when drawing up the data management plan, to the re-use of research data.

What services does DATALyste offer?

  • A one-stop-shop, accessible on the site, which centralizes requests from the Lyon Saint-Étienne site research community
  • A data management service, it aims to support researchers in drawing up data management plans
  • Monitoring and educational resources: it produces practical fact sheets and educational memos accessible on the site, to help researchers find out about local or national tools and services
  • Expertise in local tools and services: it offers a database of expertise in research data processing tools, accessible to all
  • Training sessions: it promotes and opens up existing training opportunities to a larger audience, by pooling together training sessions between the various partners
  • Help with legal resources: it contributes to the standardization of researchers’ data processing declaration and compliance practices
  • Monitoring and interfacing with data warehouses: it intends to make researchers aware of the subject-based data warehouse selection tool launched in spring 2024
