[CALL FOR APPLICATIONS] Students in Lyon, volunteer at Nightline to support your peers!
On The September 19, 2024
Nightline Lyon is a local branch of the Nightline France association, which has been working since 2016 to improve students’ mental health. Nightline develops various projects for and with students supported by professionals.
A counseling service
Nightline Lyon is first and foremost a counseling service (via the phone or online chat) by students, for students.
The aim? To listen to and discuss any topic with those who wish to do so, anonymously, confidentially, and without any direction or judgment.
When? It is available at night, from 9:00 p.m. to 2:30 a.m.: a time when there are no classes, when we are trying to get to sleep (or not), and when we sometimes just want to talk.
Nightline Lyon
Nightline Lyon needs you!
A whole community of committed and specially trained students is behind this counseling service. Why don’t you get involved this year?
By becoming a volunteer counselor, you will answer phones and chat online three nights a month at the Nightline office. What’s more, if you don’t want to make your way back home alone late at night, Nightline has all you need to get you home safely and free of charge.
To become a volunteer, what you need above all is to be caring and willing to listen to others. If you are interested, don’t hesitate to get in touch with the association to arrange an initial training session.
Embarking on this charitable endeavor will give you the opportunity to meet students from different backgrounds and you can get involved in different types of project outside the academic framework.
It’s easy to apply, you'll find a form to fill in here: https://www.nightline.fr/devenir-benevole.
