Are you a student interested in learning more about the different transport options available in your area? Simply visit the Student Assistance web portal to find out everything you need to know about traveling to your institution, getting around the city and exploring the surrounding area. A chance to (re)discover the place where you are studying thanks to the different modes of transport!

In the “Transport” section of the Student Assistance portal, you will find a range of travel solutions to suit your current needs:

If you would like to get some exercise, enjoy the fresh air and take in the sights while you’re out and about, why not opt for soft mobility (walking or cycling)?

The TCL network provides a map of the public transport network, as well as walking and cycling journey times (especially handy if you opt for a Free Vélo’V) and Vélo’V self-service bicycle stations.

If you prefer to take public transport, you can download your local transport provider’s mobile app or visit their website to estimate your journey time.

In Lyon, if you are aged between 18 and 27 and have a TCL pass, the Técély card costs just €25 a month. If you meet certain conditions, you may be eligible for a free or reduced solidarity transport pass. Find out more

In Saint-Étienne, STAS offers a monthly pass for €10 and an annual pass for €110 for people under 26. With the Rubis network in Bourg-en-Bresse, if you are under 26, you can get a public transport pass for just €19.50 per month. In Roanne, public transport is free of charge on the weekends.

There are also a number of organizations that offer community bicycle workshops where you can buy or repair a bike at an affordable price.
