[IN OUR INSTITUTIONS] Spotlight on the fight against sexual and sexist violence on our campuses

During their time at university, students are not immune to situations involving discrimination, inappropriate comments and behavior, and induction events are no exception.

According to a survey conducted in 2024*, nearly 5% of the students questioned reported having been subjected to sexual harassment and 11.4% of students said they had been victims of, or had witnessed sexual assault during these events. Although these situations are not the norm, it is essential to be able to recognize them and take action.

The institutions at the Lyon Saint-Étienne site invite you to take part in one or more events organized by the inter-institutional network to combat sexual and sexist violence and discrimination at the Lyon Saint-Étienne site alongside the Université de Lyon as part of the Ma rentrée safe initiative.

Between September and November 2024, exhibitions, training courses, shows, board games, lecture-discussion sessions, etc. will feature in this 1st edition of Ma rentrée safe in the member and associate institutions of the Université de Lyon.

The Stop Violences portail to report an incident

On the initiative of the inter-institutional network to combat sexual and sexist violence, harassment and discrimination at the Lyon Saint-Étienne site, the Université de Lyon ComUE has launched the Stop Violences Portal for students, PhD students and staff members to report that they have been victim to or witnessed incidents of violence.
